CNF Sponsors Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte Holiday Party

Cam Newton surprised over 600 “bigs and littles” from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte at their annual holiday party on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Cam mingled and talked with mentors and mentees of all ages. He also helped distribute gifts to all the kids in attendance. The event was held at Discovery Place, an interactive museum located in Uptown Charlotte. The Cam Newton Foundation was the presenting sponsor of the holiday party.

“We are thrilled with support from the Cam Newton Foundation,” Karen Calder, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, said in an event press release. “Without their help, this even may not have happened.”

This annual event is an opportunity for “bigs and littles,” matched through the organization, to spend time in a family friendly environment. It is one of dozens of activities planned by Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the year. During the evening, guests enjoyed the many interactive events at Discovery Place, and additional activities included a magician, DJ, and face painting. This is the first time a local celebrity has made an appearance at the event.
